A ‘blog’ is a specific form of a website that is controlled by a person. People who run the blogs update them regularly by posting information on events, recent news or discussions about a certain topic. People who run the blogs often post links to other websites that offer more information on a certain topic. Originally, blogs weren’t very popular, but over the years, they have become more and more accepted and used.
Types of Blogs:
1) Business: Blogs are used in business to open up communication amongst different companies and within companies themselves. It is also used to communicate with customers to get their input on certain topics. EX – Kodak’s 1000 Words
2) Social: People use blogs to keep in touch with each other. Also, some blogs are created to discuss things such as sports or cars just for fun and to see what other people think. EX – MetsBlog.com
3) Entertainment: When it comes to entertainment, blogs are used to openly talk about things like music, fashion, new movies coming out and sports also. EX – Blogs4Bauer.com
4) News: If there is something going on in the world and people want to have a discussion about it, they will blog about it and share their input and ideas with other people. EX – Anderson Cooper 360
5) Recreational: People within a community can use blogs to keep their town update on upcoming events that may be worth attending. EX – Windows Blog
