2-Min Post
During the PowerPoint assignments, i was opened up to a many new PowerPoint functions such as how to time the slide show and how to copy a picture as is. In my new assignment, i will add sound affects, slide transitions and probably some timed slides, as well as some pictures. My project could be on baseball or cars.

Google Docs Assignment
Google Docs is a site used for document exchanges. It is quick and easy to use and can be used by anybody, the only thing needed is an email and a Google account. It is most commonly used for business people to post their work and for students to save their work.
Google Docs is used almost only for business and recreational purposes. People involved in business use Google docs to save their work if they do not have a portable memory device. It is used recreationally by students who need to save their work because Google Docs is the most reliable online storage system.
There is no entertainment, news or social uses for Google Docs.
An example of a recreational use is Mr. Kyle Eagan is working on an assignment at school and needing to transfer it to his home, so he saves it to Google Docs and continues his work at home.
An example of a business use is a big entrepreneur like Eric Jorgensen saves his work at his office and he needs his friend, Ryan Edgar to review it, so he saves it to Google Docs and Ryan checks it over.
It is very hard for Google Docs to be abused.

Facebook and MySpace Assignment
Facebook and Myspace are the two most popular online communication websites. When a Facebook or Myspace account is created, a person can upload pictures, videos, they can post on each others “walls” and send each other messages. Facebook was created in 2004 and the amount of users is still rapidly growing today.
Business – to use for business purposes, people can fill out their entire profile fully to gain the trust of others, post professional pictures of them or their company to show professionalism, give appropriate business information. EX – Lake Avenue Deli’s facebook page
Social – these sites are used mostly for social reasons. A majority of the site users are high school and college students, but people of all ages use them. Older people create these pages in order to keep in touch with friends from their younger years. EX – any teenagers MySpace page
Entertainment/News/Recreation – these sites are very rarely used for these reasons. Athletes and celebrities almost never have one of these pages for themselves and people don’t really post news on these sites. As for recreational reasons, there are events scheduled on these sites to inform others of what is going on in the community. EX – free sandwich day at the Deli, scheduled as an event on Facebook
These sites are abused quite frequently by users. People sometimes posts threats to other people, they cyber-bully and they post inappropriate photos of themselves or somebody else. A punishment could be suspension from Facebook or MySpace or if serious enough, legal action can be taken.
Facebook is better for every situation listed above. Facebook is much more professional, while MySpace is very unorganized.

Linkedin Assignment
Linkedin is another online way of communication amongst people. Once the website is joined, you put information on your profile like different accomplishes and working experience. This is used mostly for business purposes, like people trying to find business partners and looking to find some jobs.
Business – linkedin is used for business the most out of anything. People constantly use this to find different job opportunities and possible business partners. Before somebody makes a business decision, they review the other person’s professional experience to make sure he/she is qualified.
Social – linkedin isn’t used for much except for business purposes, but people can use it to become business partners and even friends with somebody they meet
Entertainment – if there are new business opportunities in the entertainment world, linkedin will be used to inform those who have a profile
News/Recreational – when there are new business opportunities in the world or in a persons’ community, linkedin will be used to let people know of the possible opportunity
Just like twitter, if somebody posts inappropriate information, or posts possible job opportunities such as prostitution or drug deals, they will get kicked off and possibly arrested if the situation is severe enough.

Twitter Assignment

Social – used for friends and family to let each other know what’s going on in their life
Entertainment – used for athletes, movie stars and other famous people to announce possible exciting news. People that are obsessed with a famous person follow that famous person and see what they post
News – if there are any crisis events going on in the world, such as swine flu, people use twitter to post that information
Recreational – leaders of a community use twitter to inform other members of the community of events that are going on
